How to Remove Sophos on Mac

After installation, Sophos provides a Sophos Antivirus Removal tool you should run to cleanly remove Sophos from your system. Don't just drag the application to your Mac's trash folder, as this won't completely remove the application from your device. To uninstall Sophos, use the Sophos Antivirus Removal tool. It can be found in your Applications folder. To avoid conflicts, turn off any other antivirus software products running on your system. Go to your Applications folder and double-click Remove Sophos Home.app to begin the removal process. When prompted to proceed with the uninstall, click Continue. You'll also be asked to enter your admin password. Sophos should now be removed from your computer. Even though Sophos has been uninstalled, there may be leftover files on your computer. To rid your system of these files completely, you can use a product like App Cleaner & Uninstaller, which allows you to remove these remnants from your system.

How to Remove Sophos on Windows

To avoid conflicts, turn off any other antivirus software products running on your system. Search for "control panel" using Windows search, then select the Control Panel app on the right to open it. Select Uninstall a program. In the list of programs, scroll down, then double-click the Sophos program to begin the uninstall. Select Yes when prompted to uninstall the application. On the next screen, select Uninstall to completely remove Sophos from your computer. Sophos should now be removed from your computer. Reboot your computer to fully complete the uninstall process. Even though Sophos has been uninstalled, there may be leftover files or registry keys on your computer. To rid your system of these files completely, you can use a third-party app designed for this purpose.
