The popular meditation app announced the new subscription plan on Monday. The new premium family plan allows for a total of six premium accounts (or you and five others) for $99.99 a year. The premium family plan will allow you and whoever you choose to experience the premium features of the Calm app, which includes things like calming nature sounds, lullabies, and sleep stories, guided meditations, gratitude and mood check-ins, and more. According to Mashable, a combined family plan was the most requested feature users wanted from the app. However, a family plan feature was already available from Calm’s direct competitor, Headspace, which offered the same price for the same number of accounts. With the new premium family plan, you’ll be able to encourage your loved ones to join your journey of meditation and mindfulness. According to a combination of studies from The Good Body, 200-500 million people meditate worldwide, and over 14% of US adults have tried meditation at least once. And even if your friends or family have never meditated before, Calm offers beginner meditation techniques so more people in your life can become more zen. Calm is the eighth most popular app in the Health and Fitness category on the App Store, with over 4 million subscribers. Still, other popular meditation app options include Headspace, Insight Timer, Aura, Mindwell, and more. Was this page helpful? Thanks for letting us know!
