Instructions for Email Searches in AIM or AOL Mail
The search feature in AIM Mail and AOL Mail makes it simple to find email messages you received in the past. A few options narrow your search results, such as to specific senders or subjects. To find mail in AIM Mail or AOL Mail: Log in to your AIM or AOL email account. Select Search Mail drop-down arrow. Choose Mail to search the body of email messages. Choose Subject to search for words or phrases in the subject line. Select From/To to search for specific senders or recipients. Type the word, phrase, or email address for which you want to search, and click the Search button to look for relevant messages in all email folders. Matching results appear in the email window. Sort the search results. Select the From heading to sort by sender. Select the Subject heading to sort subjects alphabetically. Select the Date heading to sort by date. You can also sort by folder or attachment.
How to Search the Calendar in AOL Mail
Search for appointments and events using the search tool. Select the Search Mail drop-down arrow. Choose Calendar. Type the word or phrase for which you want to search and select the Search button to look for relevant events in your calendar. Matching results appear as a selectable list. Sort the results by Event, Calendar, Date, or Time by selecting the relevant heading. Choose the event you want to open.
How to Search Contacts in AOL Mail
You can also use the search feature to find contacts. Select the Search Mail drop-down arrow. Choose Contacts. Type the name, nickname, screen name, or other contact information for which you want to search, and select the Search button to look for matches in your contact list. Matching results appear as links in a list. Sort the results by Name, Calendar, Email, or Phone Number by selecting the relevant heading. Choose the contact you want to open.
