This program updater no longer works, but we know the perfect replacement

It can check for outdated programs, and it lets you browse through other apps within its store, but every attempt to download anything results in a constant loading screen. There are lots of alternative free software updaters you can use in place of this one. Baidu App Store is a free software updater that, among some other features, automatically scans your computer for outdated software and then notifies you of the programs that need updates. Because this is an entire software suite, it also includes things like a free store where you can download software and games, as well as an uninstaller tool that removes programs you no longer want. What We Like Installs quickly. Scans for updates automatically Bulk downloads and installs. Doesn't restrict download speeds. Automatically resumes interrupted downloads. Finds updates for some paid programs as well. What We Don't Like Doesn't show the version number of installed software (only their updates). Unreliable and hasn't been updated in years. Runs on Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP. Updates are downloaded within the Baidu App Store program itself, so you don't have to visit a website to download the update yourself. The size of the download, version number of the update, and date of the release are shown. A changelog is shown for each program, which tells you what features are new in the updated version. It can be configured to automatically remove the setup files for updates you've downloaded, helping to keep your computer free from unnecessary clutter The percentage of users that have updated a particular program is shown alongside an update so you can quickly determine if you, too, might want to update. It used to work really great, so it's too bad that we haven't been able to find use in it for so long. It's clearly an abandoned project. Fortunately, this isn't the only free app updater available. We really like Patch My PC Updater and IObit Software Updater. The former installs updates for you (for hundreds of programs) on a schedule, and even resembles Baidu's software in that there's a program uninstaller built-in, and it provides a simple way to download recommended programs.
