Here's how to do it. Select the Safari icon to open the main browser window. Go to the web page that you want to add as a Home screen icon. Select the Share button at the top or bottom of the browser window. It's represented by a square with an up arrow. In the window that opens, scroll across or down and select Add to Home Screen. In the interface that opens, edit the name of the shortcut icon you are creating, if needed. This step is optional, but a short name is best.
